Calling all Interventional Radiologists interested in Interventional Oncology!

The Interventional Oncology Special Interest Group will meet in Hobart March 20-21, 2018, during the Annual TROG meeting. All IRs interested in Interventional Oncology are encouraged to attend and participate in the planning of future IO research projects in Australia and New Zealand.

This will be a "research meeting” focussing on current, future and aspirational research projects. The IO committee has two projects that have been accepted for inclusion in this meeting:

    • Percutaneous ablation of renal masses
    • Percutaneous ablation of lung cancer

If successful, these projects will receive the full resources of TROG and be the first research projects across a formal network of IR Departments across Australia and New Zealand. This would be a great step forward for Trans-Tasman IO, and presents an opportunity for all IRs to get involved.

Future research strategy workshops will also be held, including for research projects in other systems such as hepatobiliary oncology, and how the IO Group can best work with RANZCR and IRSA to support IO. Now is the time to get involved and help shape the future of interventional oncology.

A special registration fee for IRs is available for $340, which will cover all IO sessions (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Medtronic and Terumo have generously sponsored the IR content for this meeting.

Please visit http://www.cmnzl.co.nz/trog-2018-asm/ to register, or contact trog@trog.com.au.

We hope to see you there!
